View Full Version : tc3/tc4 turnbuckle install
Anyone have any hints/tips for assembling the turnbuckles on the TC4 (or TC3)? In about 20 minutes, I was only able to get one side in of one turnbuckle. I even tried using pliers on each piece to get extra force behind it. These are unbelievable. Maybe try some lube on it?

The number one issue about threading turnbuckles is people usually forget that the ends are threaded in opposite directions. IE. one end has a left hand thread and the other has a right hand thread. I've seen this happen all the time.
If you're still having trouble threading the rods. Try starting the hole with a 4-40 tap or use an exacto knife to ream the inside a edge a bit so the threads have something to bite onto.
I'm sure others will have more suggestions but this has always worked for me. Good luck!
I'm pretty new to this, didn't know they thread in the opposite direction on the other end. Sweet. I'm sure that's it. Thanks for your help!
