Right now I am lookin at the futaba magnum series radios. Has anyone ever seen or heard of these radios being priced somewhat well below what Hobbypeople and Towerhobbies sells them for?
Help will and is appreciated. http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif

I'd imagine that Tower Hobbies would be the cheapest because they're Futaba's american distributor, but funny things happen sometimes...

Ive never seen them for more than 5 bucks cheaper than what tower sells. Sometimes you can find a good one on ebay for around 50 or so.

I just got one on the 17th from tower, and it looks just like my magnum from 4 years ago, except lots cleaner. http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif The only way to make up your mmind that they are a good price is to look at the 3 channel computer PCM futuba radios. (the ones that are around 230 or sumthin!)
That makes me say AM all the way.

If Tower is Futaba's American distributor, as Nairb said, then they probably don't want to undersell their customers. I purchased a Futaba from http://www.brucknerhobbies.com/ in January. Their price was approx $30 less than Tower on a $330 item.
