It will drasticaly reduce its range because the antenna works better when its straight and away from any metals. I did the same thing with my TC3 to see how it would look and the range was decreased by quite alot. I did have an AM radio then, but now I've got an FM radio so I dont know how much FM's are affected. I dont suggest using the antenna that way even though it may look neat it makes a huge difference with the antenna that way. Try it out and see how it works.

if its a FM radio,it will still reduce the control distance by a lot, but try it with the car turned of to see how many paces u can get from the car before the servo`s/reciver stops working, then come in 3 or 4 paces to be safe..

Thanks for the help guys. I have an AM radio, so i figuered id play it safe and sacrifice a little style. I mounted my reciever under the radio tray like it should, and installed that great looking pink antenna tube. http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif This thing is gonna be carzy fast (or so im told) and i dont wanna hurt anyone because of the radio cutting out.
