Well, my interest in R/C has been redirected lately by a few guys at work... my attention has been pointed towards R/C vehicles of the tracked sort. I present you with the awesome creations of a few out of work Russian engineers:

Later this month I'm going to a get together of sorts of enthusiasts of R/C armor, and several of the guys in the club have some of these Russian beauties. Individually cast and pinned tracks, fully sealed running gear, even a jet drive fully amphibious vehicle. Cool! Sure they're pricey, but they're only about 1/2 the cost of US or British made models which aren't half as detailed or accurate. I don't know about you, but at some point in the next year or so my money is as good as gone. I've gotta have one! :D

Cool except when it runs out of batteries I would call a tow truck rather that trying to carry it home. The biggest one was 110 lbs and the smallest 55, without the batteries. Its really cool though, even if you have to take out a 2nd mortgage to buy it.

that is cool the coolest thing I think I have ever seen (except for the real thing of course) Would be pretty cool to hook up the tamiya lasr tag system with them. I love that amphibian.
Tamiya should make a laer tag kit for their humvee, with a rocket launcher on the back of the body, that would rock.

When I was still living in New Jersey a few months ago, I was at a fun fly at my RC airplane club, and a guy had one of those out there. It fired 410 shotgun shells. Pretty cool indeed. Matt

Thanks for posting that link. Those models are just so incredible. The price is a bargain, considering they are fully assembled and painted! Man, I want one!

My thoughts exactly old phart. For what you get, they are a bargain. I am dead serious when I say that "comparable" US and UK made models are more than twice the price and nowhere near as nice. Imagine having to cast all those track links yourself  One of my co-workers has seen the Tiger-I in person, and he says it is absolutely amazing-- the pics on the website don't do them any justice.
