electric rustler?

is the electric rustler any good, i would race with it at the track occationally i want to know cuz i need a new truck and have full parts support at all my LHS's, also can the truck will upgrades become competitive? plz help

People will jump on this and say that a you cant race with a Rustler but dont believe them. Its a solid truck that can be raced on the club level. Parts support is a good thing also. That said if you want to race on a regular basis it would be better(and cheaper) to get a race oriented truck to begin with instead of trying to hop up the Rustler. Even with all the hop ups (that get expensive quick) the Rustler will never be a full blown racer. It was designed as a fun to run type truck. It would be best to decide if you really want to race seriously or just for fun.

I have an electric Rustler and it is a good truck. There are plenty of hop ups for it. It is fun to run. Whether or not it is a full-blown competitor? I would say it could be pretty competitive especially if you have it dialed in a way that suits you best and YOU ARE A GOOD DRIVER. Just because you go out and buy the most expensive truck you are not guaranteed wins. Here is a list of hop ups to consider if you get a Rustler. You dont have to get them all at once.

RPM Bearing carriers
Electronic Speed Control
Traxxas Machined Tranny Gears
Ball Bearings
Slipper Clutch
Pro Ball Diff
Traxxas Big Bore Shocks
Bulkhead brace
Mod or Stock motor
MIP CVD's

These parts are not neccessary if you just wanna have fun.

well i was concidering racing at club level but for fun not as much as winning, although i would like to be able to win with the truck i want a good truck that isnt as costly as the fully blown racers
