My freind did a Chevy Suburban transparent blue body and I think the paint was by Pactra but I'm not sure. I want to do a transparent body if I can of some sort of color but it has to be a rattle can because I don't have a compressor. If you can help me find some transparent paint, I'd appreciate it!

A lot of the pearl and all of the candy colors are translucent when they aren't backed with another color.

I know that transparent, is when you can see through the color, but what is translucent again?

Transparent: Capable of transmitting light so that objects or images can be seen as if there were no intervening material
Translucent: Transmitting light but causing sufficient diffusion to prevent perception of distinct images.
Opaque: Impenetrable by light; neither transparent nor translucent

To translate that into normal-people speak, transparent is completely clear, like the lexan is when it is unpainted. Translucent is still able to be seen through, but tinted (or partially obscured like frosting, but that is a different story).
