I know it sound dumb, but bear with me

I was thinking earlier on today, would it be possibel to add water to shock oil to thin it out, or make it thicker by letting some of it dry out?

Also, Is it possible to keep using the same set of rims for several sets of tires(no not all at once), or do you have to keep buying rims when you buy tires?

thanks

Oil and water don't mix. The oil will just "float" on top of the water. I have a set of RPM Talon rims for my XXXT (just for show :D) and I've used about 3 sets of tires through them. Real pain in the butt to remove the tires and then clean all the CA glue off though. If you don't get all the stuff off, your next set of tires won't stick nicely.

Yeah, rims can be used repeatedly. Just put them in boiling water for 10 minutes (flip them over about halfway through, they float) and then pull the tires off. If the tires are completly worn and you dont want them anymore its much easier, because then you can just rip them off. Then use an Exacto and trim off ay remaining rubber from the edge of the rim.

I don't plastic im are worth saving like that, theyre only like 5-8 bucks a pair (depending on the car your buying em for). If your going to remove the tire and switch em, you should get aluminum rims, or better yet beadlocks like they have for the Maxxes. :D

T54 - you can actually mix 100 wt and 10 wt oil in the proper proportions to get any viscosity oil in between.
