I spent a $125 on a Marui Galaxy Buggy, $70 for a Futaba Stick Radio, $45 for a charger and about $40 for three 1200 mah nicad sport packs. That was in 1985, i've been hooked ever since, and since that time, i've probably spent well over $30,000 to $40,000 with the other kits, batteries, chargers, motors, transmitters, and all the Nitro kits, fuel, and parts I own now.

I bought a Royal Ripper for about $80. The combo cost about $170 after shipping and everything. That was back in 87 or 88. I got it for Christmas so I ordered one year and got it the other. :p

My first R/C car was a Maximum ST Pro that i had gotten at my local pawn sop. The sales lady said that some guy who had bought the truck pawned it because he worked to much run it.
I only paid $275 for it and that included a whole galon of fuel, a bunch of extra baterries, and alot of tools.
