tekin software update

I won a tekin BC112 A charger off of ebay but the software needs to be updated for nimhs. I havn't heard back form tekin and was wondering if anyone here knows what tekin charges to update?

They sort of did, but now they're back(but it's still possible that they haven't got enough guys working for them yet to be able to answer quickly, I know a lot of people have Tekin stuff they want fixed or updated).... :cool:

Tekin is back in business under new owners, and in a new state. The only product they are producing are the 112A and C chargers and the 410 keypad esc. The website is teamtekin.com I think and if you email them from that site they usually respond quickly, looks like they are back to stay. Only time you need a software update is for the H24 software all H27 or hgher is fine. The charger mode for H27 use P1 for NIMH, H33 and up PO.

I had my charger updated during the summer and it cost $50 for the upgrade and $18.36 for the shipping and handling charge which included insurance. the newest software version is H31.

We will not go out of buisness again, i can assure you. My new manager will see to it.
But as he said, H31 is the newest and is wat they are upgrading all chargers to.

I had my charger updated soon after Tekin reopened and it works great. They have excellent customer service and quick turn around time. I would recommend having your charger updated.

are their chargers expensive?

No. You can go on their website and buy used stuff from them. Not sure if they used items have the most recent upgrades but you never know unless you ask.
