Hey is this thing a decent substitute for a temp gun??? I just don't think 100 bux is in the budget.

It works great. Just make sure to check it with a temp gun to see how much it is "off". I use a Raytech and checked my buddies MIP. It is pretty consistantly off by about 30 degrees. Good Luck!

For the price you can't beat it.
Just keep it out of direct sun.
My screen turned black and i couldn't
read a thing.

remember that with the temp gauage you are reading the temp "near" the piston, where with the raytec, you are reading at the plug which is closer. the temp guage is gret for $32 just keep the temp near 210 degrees or so, or ask mip what it should read for your engine.
