I have the Monster Stock Pro and it has been running pretty hot. I temped it once after a 7 minute qual. and it was at 211. I dont wanna burn another comm so i droped a tooth. It was at 19. It helped the temps down to about 250-60. Is that still to hot? Im running on a tight track with a decently long straight away. Will gearing it lower, lower the temps? How hot can they run with the risk of screwing the comm?

I would say go with a bigger spur in the 85- 87 tooth range. I believe the stock is either 78 or 81 can't remember as I hardly ever use the kit spur gears anymore. Also ask the guys you race with (preferably those running T3 or T4) what they are using for spur and pinion with the same motor. You can run a MS2 in offroad racing but since it's a rpmish motor it has to be geared much lower than P2K2 or MVP. On a tight loose track you may have to drop an extra tooth or two to reduce the excessive wheelspin or loosen the slipper a bit.
