Very nice. A trick I learned from looking at some of the other painting gurus like Cosmo, CharlieB, HM, etc, when you do a fade from a lighter color to a darker color, spray the lighter color first. It'll make the fade appear much more fluid. About the only thing I would have done differently would have been to angle the fade more in line with the edge of the windows. This way, the fade would have begun sooner on the bottom than the top (if this makes any sense). All in all, very nicely done! Looking forward to seeing your next submission.

makes perfect sense ,i thought the same thing ,but went too far with the red.i had originally planned to go from burgandy metalic to the black, but my paint can erupted like a vulcano and i had to strip it all off ,
btw nail polish remover works excellent as a mistake eraser ,,,,,lol
i got pics here some where of my second body i painted which was a Tim Taylor Saleen Mustang ,i did it in a burgandy metallic backed with black metalic ,,it was sweet looking ,when i get the chance i will dig the pics up scan and load a few ,
my next project will be a tribal striped 300mm body .but still looking into whether or not i can make it work on a 10th scale off-road truck,,like the evader or the rustler ,,
wanna build like a rally racer type looking truck,,,,lol

thanx for everything

Rick, one word of warning on the cleaning bit. Acetone and lexan don't mix that well. You may have just squeeked by on your clean up. Typically, acetone will disintegrate lexan. It's actually kinda cool to watch. But, fair warning there. From someone elses recent adventure, brake fluid works well for fixing those mistakes.

Either way, definitely looking forward to seeing more work from you.

whew,,luckily i used a nail polish remove that was non-actone ,,or would have destroyed it.thanx for the info on the brakefluid,,i will keep that in mind for my next project .hopefully it turns out that i do not have to remove paint .....lol

has anyone else tried installing a 300mm body to a stadium truck, i will be using street tires and i want it to completely cover the tires but not thrash the body if i decide to offroad a little ,,
any imput would be great
and thank you for the compliments and advice

i will get more pics after the holidays with the body mounted,i painted the rear wheels red and the fronts black, just to offset it alittle ,not sure how it will look ,,but hopefully good ,

thanx again

if you modify a larger body to fit an offroad vehicle, one obstacle you will run into will be wheel travel. Offroad stuff has a tremendous amount of wheel travel. In order to give your fenders enough room so they're not taken out by the tires, they'd have to be up near the top of the body. If you do get it to work, I'm sure they're others out there besides myself who'd like to see the finished product.
