Can i replace my antena wire, It is lookin pretty bad, and there is at least one spot where you can see some bar wire. It works ok, but i think it would work better if i could put new on.

Antenna length has to be matched with the reciver. Im fairly sure the frequency and channel have to do with the length. Your best bet is to send it to the manfu. and get it replaced or buy a new reciver. Also if it just has some bare spots get some very small shirnk tubing in along strand and cover it.

There is a formula to figure out exactly how long your antenna should be for a specific frequency. I followed this when my antenna was shortened. Now it's about half the length of the manufacturer setting and it works better. Here's a link to a page with all kinds of info on the subject. http://www.cyberix.com/people/n3wtf/index.htm
