I have the Tamiya Super Stock Motor TZ. It is a Good Motor; but I want to know how other people feel about the motor.

Take Care.

Unless you are required to run their motor, I would get a different one such as a roar stock, or monster stock.

About the only place it could be used is for bashing or in instances where rules state it must be one particular motor brand. I've found that most of the 27turn/24degree motors are faster and better than most of the Tamiya motors which are mild modified motors generally in the 21-23 turn range using with the super stock using fixed timing/bushing while the ones using adjustable timing and bearing are considered mod based on European or IRMAR rule format.

I haven`t taken my car to the track with the Tamiya Super Stock Motor TZ yet; but soon I will.

The Tamiya Super Stock Motor TZ is a 23-Turn Motor.
It`s a Fast Motor(to Me). I was thinking about putting bearings in it.

I never really knew some R.C. Car Tracks have rules for Motors, Bodies and some other stuff.
-I just just want to test my R.C. Car at a R.C. Car Track. . . . .then I might try racing some other R.C. Car people.
-There`s NOT a R.C. Car Track here in New York City.

I beat up on a few guys at a Parking-Lot Track we set-up; and they had 20-Turn Motors.

The Tamiya Super Stock Motor TZ is a tight motor.
All the wheels lock-up when the motor is in; even when the power is off. It`s just like a Parking - Brake.....Ha Ha!
(Everything is alright when I`m running it)

Does it suppose to do that?

Take Care.

Are you running an electronic speed control? If the motor is locking up when you release the throttle then adjust the esc neutral setting so motor comes to a stop gradually not all at once. Then adjust brake setting on radio either more or less depending on driving. When you release throttle you want car to continue to roll but stop only when you apply brakes.

You prolly got the gear mesh tight... this may seem like the car stops on a "dime"

The car runs good when I running it.

But when I cut it off; it`s like it has No Neutral.
-The Motor just Locks - Up.
-I can`t push it forward or backward.

Is a motor suppose to really do that?

Take Care.

What brand/style radio and esc are you using with it, if you can tell me the throttle and brake settings the radio is set at.
It could be the settings of you esc or the neutral adjustment on radio being too far off. When you apply throttle then release it does motor continue to turn for a little bit or does it come to an abrupt stop. The reason you probably can't move it is motor has a reverse current being applied (brakes) so esc and possibly radios neutral has to be set to a less sensitive setting. Go to the plus side ot turn the neutral setting on esc to the right.

Hey Guys; I don`t have a problem with my Radio Trims and Settings.
The car has no problems when I run it.

The problem is:
-When the Car and Radio is Off it can`t be pushed forward or backward(No Neutral).
-It`s like the magnets are really strong.

Anyone else ever had a motor like that?
Is a motor suppose to do that?

Are u pushing the car with effort? or very lil effort? the problem you are despcribing sounds normal... ;)

I`m not pushing the car too hard at all.
-I thought at first the car should move very freely just by giving it a small push.

I think the other motor(Tamiya Sport Tuned Motor) I had in the TT-01 was a little more loose. . . . .So I found out the Tamiya Super Stock Motor TZ has Stronger Magnets.
I`ve heard it`s normal.

Thanks; TRF Drive Hard.
