There was a show on t.v. not to long ago regarding these toys of the U.S. ARMY. They were explaining why & how they got the money to spend on some of these expensive toys. Basically they justify spending the money saying that they are recruiting aids.

Funny 97TRAKIN you should mention uv's. There is a fellow named Dave Jones(log on) on another board that is trying to premote uav's. (unmaned air vehicle) He says that he has a model airplane that can fly around with predetermined programming without touching a radio. Also if I am not mistaken will even avoid a colision and re-adjust course.

Well the problem is that the AMA says there illegal! He is trying start a movement so that he can market his models & have them flying at clubs all over.

Well I could go on & on, but just think guys why the AMA is not supporting this type of flying, & does not sanction it to be flown at AMA clubs through out the U.S. BTW, he says that the FBI checked him out. I think he's a total nutball, if you read his post i'm sure you would feel the same.

I posted that I was glad that the AMA does not allow this type of flying, and he flamed me!

I know who is in the picture, just don't know if Trakin is who I think he is.?.?.

And from what CoolJJ said it kind of makes it sound like he is talking about Trakin..

I'm clueless today guys, long day at the job and I've got a really bad migraine. Sorry for the confusion.

No Sir that is not me. I wish it were me though. Don't forget I just got out the Army. At Ft. Story I only got to play with ATVs, Jet skis, Ocean kayaks Kawasaki Mules, Johndeere 5wheelers and 6wheelers all provided by good ole Uncle Sam. Man was I bored :D ...

You sound as though you enjoyed it! Did you ever go to the middle east. One of my oldest friends just got out of the Army. He says something like " All I did was drive around in a Hum-V & shoot & blow up stuff "

Did you ever go to the middle east.

No but I did spend a lot of time in South America doing a lot of **stuff** you will NEVER EVER see or hear about in the news. The type of stuff that would make our citizens realize that*****. Just remember the US don't get involved in nothing for nothing. I'll leave it at that.

Oh thats for sure. I can't stand it when people only believe what they see on the news or read in the paper. Such narrow minded individuals that really have not a clue.

Well i'm glad that you came out ok. I wish that for all of our military people.

InterNational Guard, I like that :D .
I'm sure he'll get a kick out of those rules of engagment cards they gave us. Basically it's a little card about the size of a buiesness card that states when and how you should engage a potential threat.
I wonder if the other side gets those cards also?

My buddy is the head guy in a howitzer. Can't remember his title. Boy does he get mad when we ask him about his tank and the treads on it. :D
