View Full Version : What is wrong with my receiver?

When ever my steering servo is used or stress is put on the front wheels which the steering servo has to work against, my throttle servo wiggles. This is annoying because I will be going around a corner with the throttle pulled just right, then it will suddenly rev or slow down because the throttle servo is moving around when I steer.
Both my servos are new, so they are fine, I guess it must be my receiver...? Any way to fix this?

Use the rubber grommets that came with the servos. Also make sure that the receiver is loosely mounted. I use o rings under my receiver mount with foam under the receiver & then use zip ties to hold it in place. This gives a very loose & vibration resistant mount for the receiver. There are also other thing that can cause interferance on a gasser. Any thing that rattles or is metal on metal that slides can cause interferance. Loose batts, or bad wire connections can also cause problems. Sometimes its the way the wires are routed past each other. Dry or bad clutch bearings can cause problems as can a clutch bell that rattles against the flywheel. The problem is that a gasser runs at very high rpm & make high frequency signals from the vibrations & rattles. These are some of the things that can cause glitching on a gasser. Good luck.

Thanks for the reply, but I don't think that the problem is caused by vibration, because the throttle servo glitches when I turn the wheels even if the truck is not running and it is at a stop.
