I have my first endro race coming up. It is a 30 minute leg and I am running a Mabuchi 540 Siver can. What pinion should i be using roughly, with the 72 tooth spur.
Cheers, Brad.

I would more than likely start with a 26t should give you more top speed, RED

Endurance racing sounds SO cool. There are some guys that do it in Eastern NY, 2.4 hour enduros with TL01s and the Mabuchi/Johnson 540 motors. They told me new motors are only just breaking in by end of the race.

Have you tried to fit the Mabuchi to the TC3?
Our track had a similar "spec" class where racers were allowed to run either a Mabuchi motor and 6-cells or a 27 turn stock and 4-cells. The reason being was that the silver can motors didn't fit the TC3's. I didn't really pay attention at the time since I was running a TA04 in the class and not my TC3, so I can't tell you why... I just know that they amended the rules since the TC3's couldn't run the Mabuchi's.
Just something you may want to check out...
