Is the pro version worth the extra money? Is is it better to buy the monster stock through another motor tuner??

I dont think the extra 5-10 bucks is gonna eat up all ur money. The pro is awesome, i own one in my tc3 and it flies..almost keeps up with the 19t motors down the straights.

I also run the Monster Stock pros. I picked them up used and like having the RPMs listed on the motor it gives me something to compare the other stocks to. The P2K Pro 2 is about 4,000 RPM less than the Monster Stock Pro. Of course it is a more torque orientated motor for more technical tracks. I have the Monster Stock Pro in a TC3 and a XXX-S and they both fly! It is worth having them tuned for the extra few bucks!

For about the same price you can get motors such as the Monster Stock and P2K2 from motor tuners such as Fantom. They are usually the same price, yet have been tuned (bushings and armature polished, mags zapped, comm trued, brush hoods aligned, etc). For the same price, why not get the same motor tuned from a motor company?

Well if you see one in a LHS that could be a reason. I do have this motor and it is great for big tracks and getting top speed out of touring stock.
