Hey, i got a Nikko Barracuda r/c boat. (before i got into real r/c) i have modified it so that i can put in real electronics. But theres just one step to over come before i can run it.

I need a sheet of metal i can bend and cut and be strong enough to handle the power of a stocker to high wind mod. Any one know where i can get this kinda metal?

thanks

When I built the Dumas kit, I made brackets to clamp over the motor from brass strips. They fit like () (flip 90 degrees) and are bolted together. There are lips on each bracket and they are bolted into servo mounts epoxied into place. Seems to work pretty well.

you could go to any local metal supply shopo or welding shop anmd ask there aluminum would work its very strong.

you could go to a welding sho and have them do it if its not big it would be cheap

get a peice of aluminum. Drill the 2 holes to moutn the motor with screws. All you need is a 2mm peice of aluminum.

what i was thining of was like those sheets of metal or aluminum i think it is, they sell at ?lowes? what i need to do is be able to bend it without it breaking, cut it mount my motor and bend it so it screws into the mount.kinda like an L the motor being vertical and the mount being horizontal.

would that work?
