I have a Epic 3000 sport stick pack that I took apart and the put it on my Trinity Absolute Zero tray and got it to charge upt to 5415 MAH. Is this right I was charging it with my Pit Bull X3 and a cutoff of .04 like I do on all my other batteries and charging it at 4 amps.

There's probably something wrong with the pack. At the most, it should be charging up to around 3300. There is probably a bad cell in the pack.

It doesn't make sense for charging up a 3300 stick pack to over 5000. For new 3300 pack with deep discharge, it can be charged up to around 3800mah. Do you find very hot on the pack?

Like RC Guy said there might be a bad cell, and there is one of them got warmer but not blistering hot. One reason is I charge all my batteries on a fan.

It may an electronics issue with your charger - I'd lower your threshold to .03 anyways for NiMH - they shouldn't be any higher than that.
New generation NiMH cells require a very sensitive peak decection so they don't overcharge which can be murder for them.

Maybe so I will have to try that.
