Hello,
I hope to be able to start painting very soon, I already have my first customer waiting to have his body painted. I have been playing with a few designs in photoshop and I came up with this. Please tell me what you think, would you pay hard earned cash for a paint scheme like this if you were in a position where you could not airbrush yourself?

Thanks,
Adam Nierzad

I would pay for that  .
Personally, I think it can use a little more color up front. Maybe a color other than white???
I am sure it would look great on a body.

Looks nice! The only thing I might do would be to extend the checkerboard pattern all the way down the lower left part of the car, and not leave the blue there. I think this might make it look more like a tear than a stripe. In my opinion that would make it a little bit better. Still, looks great, I would certainly pay to have a body like that painted for me if I weren't able to do one my self.

Thanks alot for the crits guys, I agree with you about the tear idea I will go adjust it now, I will continue the checkers down and change the top edge so it looks more torn, I tihnk that would look pretty cool. I will post the updated version as soon as I am done with the modifications.

As for a different color up front, do you have any ideas? I thought the white went well with the blue and the orange.

Ok, I continued the flag down to the bottom of the body and added a torn top edge. Here is the result, I am curious though, how would I mask those checks, surely when they went around the rear bumper they would look deformed?

And here is the same thing but with the flames base color changed to yellow.

Nice design, as to the deformed checks, that is somewhat uncontrolable, you could project the checkerflag design onto the car and trace to make the checks look correct from one angle, however looking at the car from a different angle would defrorm them. Ithink that making uniform checks in size are the best. Cutting them out "individually" with masking tape is the only way i can think of off the top of my head, just following the curve of the car, even with deformity.

IMHO... very nice... my personal colors, blue with pink accents on the flame... gunmetal topped with a fade of chrome on the jagged edge... the checker pattern is fine the way it is... ;)

Again I think the thing looks awsome! I'm not sure what the big deal about the white is, if you look around the majority of touring cars have white up front. I think it should look awsome no matter what color you put up there. The white looks fine to me, but I like the yellow too. I think its really a matter of personal preference from here on out.

Here is a pic to show you what I mean about the white...

Yeah, I think I will ask my customer what color he would prefer on the front of it. After all its his car that will be wearing it, not mine :) . I just need to work up a cool idea to paint my Savage SS body.

Well, I started looking at some CharlieB's bodies and then looking at my idea and I think I have found that key that I was missing to give my body a good look, freehand strokes. Everything cant be masked if a cool effect is going to be acheived imo. What do you guys think of this.

that looks cool man but i still think that u should just do a second fade witht he orange and have the front white.

I'm partial to the first rendition, but if you added the orange/yellow to the front as you did in the 14th post (two up from this one) of the thread, I think it would look even better. Personally, I don't like the rip with flames and checkers. Too busy.
