WD-40 does everything!
Do you know what the 40 means?

That was the 40th different formula they tried before they decided they had the water dispersant they wanted.... :)

Grizzbob has it! Also, Armor-All would work too, right?

I wouldn't say to use WD-40 because it has oil in it which is not good for better traction. Use something like armol all, simple green or anything else that is a cleaner/DE-greaser.

Try heal and sole dressing for shoes. Just make sure you clean them really well and don't drive it on anything you don't want black until it dries.

WD-40 actually softens the tires and makes them stick a little better. Oil is a natural conponent of rubber, and when you use cleaners and degreasers on your tires, it removes some of the natural lubricants in the rubber. I also avoid using Armor All and water- or solvent-based cleaners because if it gets on any of the metal parts of the car while you're spraying it on your tires, it causes corrosion. Of course you don't want to spray WD-40 on your touring car tire before heading out to the qualifiers, but I spray the whole tire during cleaning and find it actually helps improve traction as long as it's allowed to "dry."

Try silicone spray.
i have som interesting info on wd-40 the supposedly everything spray. my dad used to be a traveling sales man who sold to gun shops and you know what a gunsmiths worst night mare was??? You probab ly didnt guess it but some people spray thier guns down with it and after a while it chunks up locing everything up. Causing a nightmare. I knw guns dont hvae to do with RC but you could use this info. You couls probably use and oil for lube called Rem-oil. Very good.

You fools ! :D
SIMPLE GREEN
The do anything, non toxic, environmentaly friendly, everything magic mix.
Simple green will not only make them shine, it will make them STICKY (read: traction).
BTW, that is Water Displacement, not Water Dispersant :p

Jeepinator, you're such a smartmouth!! I was looking for some company, though... :D I'm a Simple Green man, myself. I say screw the traction compounds people get high off of, just give me my Simple Green and I'm good to go.
