My curent shocks are about 2 and 3/4 inches long. I am thinking of getting 4 duratrax gold competitions that are about 3 inches long. What will happen if I replace my old ones with these ones? Any efeects on handling? What wt of shock oil should I use with them?
thanks

shocks are always compressed a bit, but i have no idea what will happen if they're compressed that much. You'll probably have to rebuild them a little more often as more pressure will be on them at all times.
Chances are you won't have any trouble just longer shocks!

If the new shocks dont bottom out on full suspension compression, then there should be no adverse effects on handling.

They'll be fine. You may want to install a few internal spacers under the shock piston so that the shock will not be as long.
