Does anyone know what would cause this.. I am ataching a pic. I dont know what to call this thing and i dont know where to get one.. I am talking about the black rubber gaskett. It goes on the carb. Thanks

Is the gasket worn, or what? Itīs called an o-ring, btw... :)
If itīs worn, it could be that the carb has not been tightened up properly, causing vibration and whatnot to scar the gasket. Or, it could be that someone has scarred the gasket while assembling the engine. Other than that, I cant really tell from that pic, take a closeup, and I can give you an more exact answer.

Actually that is not an O-ring. That is a boot that "seals" the barrel and the main body. The barrel has slipped out because the idle speed screw was backed out too far. It is the one near the venturi with the spring under it. On boats it is good to have this screw backed out so the servo can shut the motor down, but not that loose. I wouldn't worry about a replacement boot as I have seen plenty that will run just fine w/o it. Just slide the barrel back in and put some thread lock on the idle speed screw and tighten it a tad.
