This new polished aluminum pipe from Fantom will fit in any 2WD stadium truck. The pipe comes with either a side-exhaust header or a rear-exhaust header. The pipe is said to have a broad range of power according to Fantom team drivers. The solid aluminum construction includes a secure one-piece coupler that easily attaches to either of the headers. The header and pipe design fit snugly to the chassis even when installed on rear exhaust engines, which prevents contact between the body and exhaust system. Don't settle for poor fitting exhaust systems that are intended for touring cars - this new exhaust system delivers both fit and performance for competition nitro truck racers.

Looks like it's set up for the Losi trucks.

It says that it'll fit any 2WD stadium truck.

I'm sure it will, just that the top mount is in the same place as the Adam Drake pipe & AE pipes have a mount on the nose of the pipe.

And you can bend a piece of music wire to mount it with, which is soooooooo hard...

You should check out the new '05 FR12 engines too. They are awesome. I've been running one in my sedan and it keeps up with pretty much everything on the track. Plus you can find them for under $150.

i was talking to Jesse Robbers at the chicago show last week and he said its almost the exact same dimensions as the adam drake pipe made by losi but a lil more bottom end. only gripe is that the se manifold isnt chamfered.

Neither can I. I'd send Fantom an e-mail because they announced it a while back.

I'm also wondering why they made it out of alluminum, because all of their other pipes are steel.

I sent them an e-mail around 1:30am lst night, so , hopefully should get a responce tommorow.

I'd rather get this once piece deal than the normal fantom pipe. All this technology, and yet most connections from the pipe to the header use rubber tube and zip ties.. CLASSIC!

I'll ask Jesse next time I see him

The ones at the show were some sample pieces, some things were not right or could be better and like stinger hole was too big, manifold too long, no chamfer on header, etc... and they all should be right when the production parts arrive which will be anytime now.

Hey would this pipe work with a O.S. TZ motor?

I assume you have a stadium truck? If so, it would work great. I have the old steel pipe and I would never switch to another brand of pipe. [I use it in a xxxnt w/ a cx12]

Well, its now on Stormer's site for 74 bucks. I placed an order for it with my local hobbytown usa but the havn't called me in 4 weeks. going to head over monday after work and see whats up. They are generally slow with orders from watching others at the shop complain.
Good news though! its on the market.

Has Fantom come out or is planning on coming with a Touring car pipe.

I bought one of their pipes only to find out that it doesn't fit. What are their older pipes for, I thought they were for Stadium Trucks also?

Yes, I believe Fantom is going to be coming out with at touring car pipe. Not sure on the time table though. I think they said a couple more months.

Oh, great. I didn't know they were even planning on making one. Where did you find that out?

I race for Fantom. I only run onroad though. I also run for Schumacher, SMC and Tekin. If you haven't yet, you should check out there '05 .12 engines too. They are awesome and very low $$. They should have the on-road rear exhaust versions out around the end of Feburary. The offroad, side exhaust ones are out now. I ran one of the offroad ones in my sedan last year and it was good. Can't wait to try the rear exhaust version.

Oh cool. I just rigged up my Fantom pipe to my LD3, too cold to run it though.

Can't wait for the pipe, PM me or post here if you find out anymore info.

Thanks.

I just got the pipe from Stormer yesterday, model 20001 for rear exhaust engines. Didn't test it out though, I'll do that next Tuesday or Wednesday. However, I did bolt it on.

It fits very nice. I lined up the body ( didn't cut exhaust stinger hole yet ) and could tell i'll have plenty of breathing room between the body and the pipe. No deformations here.
Hopefully, this will make a big power improvement over my stock muffler.

If by the stock muffler, you mean the Drake pipe, there wont be a HUGE difference. Youll probably notice a bit of difference, but not much of one because when I talked to Jesse, he said the dimensions are very similar between this, and the drake pipe.
