Is it mostly stock? There are steel parts on the stock RC10 that will rust. Slap a little grease/lube/WD-40 on there before you go for a run. Dry and re-grease your parts after the run.

yeah, it is mostly stock..has the stock gold tub chassis so i was worried about it. Plus, it has scraps in it..so it might rust easier..but, i will lube it up with WD-40.

The tub is aluminum; it won't rust so you don't have to worry about that.

Only parts you really need to worry about rust with are the turnbuckles, dogbones and the steel screws themselves.. just like everyone else said, spray down with wd-40 or somthing and dry it off after you are done running it.

How do you make your car perfictally water proof? I know about ballons and silicone but what else is their?

LOTS of silicone and balloons....:D Just be sure to seal all electronics (including servo) VERY well and things like the drive train and it should be set! Don't forget to dry it off after you're done though, or things will rust or get gummed up probably.

One important thing to remember is to avoid road salt like the plague: It will corrode metal much more quickly than clean snow/water, and it will destroy any electronics it gets into.

thanks for the help, i dont think i have to worry about rusting out screws and turnbuckles..lol. They are all shot and dead. Ill also have to waterproof it, snow is almost here in IL. :D

After you're done running in the snow, pull the bearings and spray them with wd-40 as well.
