I justed picked up a RC10T4 RTR which has a LRP Runner Plus Reverse Digital ESC installed along with a Associated Power 17 motor. When I read the LRP ESC manual it recomends running a 18-36 turn motor. Why would Associated install a 17 turn motor? Am I going to have a problem running this combination?
Thanks for your help

you should be ok as long as u don't go too hard on the car

Because the motors that come with the RTR's are not high performance motors. A 19T Pro spec motor is likely to draw harder on the speedo then the 17 that came with it. You will be just fine with that motor.

I've got 3 cars that came with the same LRP ESC pulled all 3 out and switched to Novak GT7's the runner is a ok ESC but putting a 17t made things warm up alittle so what I did was set the timing on the motor back so it would not draw as much current and that helped to keep things cooler, I would strongly suggest that you replace the Runnner and use better cells Gold Peak 3300mah work very well, The motor that comes with the T4 has a set timing and can not be rebiult there not very good.
