I only have 1 radio for 2 different cars in 2 different classes. Everything is mounted with velcro for quick changes..the only problem is threading the antenna through the antenna tube. The classes are back to back and it gives me little prep time. It's a small track, so I was wondering if it's pheasible to wrap the antenna around a piece of lexan and mount it via velcro under the body. Anyone else do this? If not, does anyone else have this problem and if so, how do you work around it?

Nrgtrader,

Attaching your antenna to a piece of lexan and mounting it inside your body would be a good idea. I have heard that it works but you do decrease your radio range. You did say that you raced at a small track so this may not make a difference to you.

Another alternative is to just buy another receiver. They only cost $30-$45, and will save you a lot of the hassle of changing receivers and you can concentrate on your set-up instead.

A guy at my local track did exactly that and it works great.

I saw this over at the Losi site. Drill a hole in the antena tube above ware it gos into its holder. Thread the antena wire through this hole. Then just move the tube to the other car without removing the antena wire.
