I did not see a thread about the show yet so I thought I would start one.
What did you guys think of it? My dad went yesterday and he said it was terrible... Traxxas only had a small 10x10 booth. And the entire show was alot smaller then last year. We went last year and it was great. Maybe the booth space was too expensive and alot of people backed out... :(

yes, the chicago hobby show is this weekend
I drove from L.A. to the Vegas show. Cost me $700 for me and my wife for the room, meals, admission, and gas. The show was a joke. Well, maybe if you like HO trains it was a hit. But not if you are into r/c.....

I just watched Chris Chianelli of Radio Controlled Hobbies cover the Vegas Show in a special hour-long episode this afternoon on the DIY Channel (http://www.diynetwork.com). Hard to get a true feel of the convention since it was filtered through the episode's editing, but one thing it had over the Chicago show were outdoor demos. Aircraft were demo'd at the airfield, cars were run outdoors at a parking lot, etc. Disappointing he didn't cover electric helis or the Spektrum Modules though.
