I need some advice on what would be a good stock motor for it. I don't want to spend a lot of money for it either. I will be bashing with it at first to get use to driveing it. I plan on raceing it after i get use to driveing it. I'll be buying the rest of the stuff I need in a couple of weeks at my LHS.

A good stock motor? It depends on where you're racing. The thing to do is check out your local track, and see what the fast people there are running.

if someone local has races, check to see what motors they allow. you will also have to see what battery configuration they allow. 6 cells makes the car heavy on one side. 5 cells is better balanced. buy the adjustable toe in links. it comes with the steering linkage also. also i changed the front arms from 12degree castor to 6 degrees. its labeled on the arm.

I'm just looking for a good stock motor to start out with and I want to keep it cheap. I saw a Team Orion that I am thinking of getting cause it is cheap.

I had that Orion in mine and it was nice. Go for it!

I have a micro RS4..If you want the ultimate bashing setup, get the Team Orion Big Block and a couple of 6 cell Nimh packs to switch around when each one dies. I have one 1000mah nimh 6 cell, and two 1200mah nimh Team Orion 6 cell batteries and i'm never out of the action for charging.
