There is no single best answer to your question. Run the stock gears unless you're racing. It would be best to find out from other racers in your area which are the best gears for a local track.

If your track follows the Legends rules, you don't have much choice. You have to run the stock spur, and have a choice of 2 pinions. I run the stock spur (don't remember what that is right now) and a 19 tooth pinion, with a Fantom P2K motor.
