I HATE CHEATERS LIKE YOU! j/k :D i get in the "Zone" sometimes and dominate. Like my last nitro truck race. i had major engine problems. it vibrated loose and chewed up the spur. If you have a nitro rustler you know how much of a paint it is to get the engine mount screws with out stripping something out.
Any ways i ran the first heat, the second heat is when it came loose (about 30 seconds into the heat), and i didnt compete in the 3rd becuase we were wrenching.
He had to take off the cooling head and the exhaust pipe to get to the engine mount screws. i got stuck in the B-Main. For the first time ever! :o
But i got out there and lapped every one TWICE!!! so i went to the A main and finished last :D lol
Better last in the A then first in the B!

I hate it when people think that. They are probalby amteurs, not PROs like us.
I am buy no means a Pro, but I do practice, and I do take the time to improve. It seems that a lot of "racers" these days don't. They expect to win without putting any time into it. When they don't, than by golly, somebody must be cheating! That drives me crazy.

Some newbies blow 1000's of dollars on all the trick hopups and super motror/engines, and you still win with a "mid-grade" car. I'm not saying your car isn't good (I'm not even into elecs) If they do come up to you and say stuff compare your car to theirs, show 'em all yer notes, and say, "next time, don't spend money on things you don't know how to use!"
some people are just sore loosers too! If they say your cheating call your vehicle inspector or the owner and ask them if you were cheating...
Touche! That would be a good comeback Interstate! Acutally I told them they could have the motor if they buy me a new one. I even took it apart for them. It's easier to place blame somewhere else than to look at the faults within yourself for some folks I guess.

Yup, there will always by guys like that in the hobby, especially in our generation of "right now" people. I think that's also why a number of people who aren't racing fans but see newspaper coverage can't understand why racing is a sport(though they have no problem thinking of golf as one)They see someone doing very well, & making it look easy, so they think, "If he can do it, then I can do it better" & just expect everything to be perfect by just buying the same stuff that more experienced racers have. When they've already spent so much & then don't do so well, I think it's just denial because of the money they spent that they blame others of cheating. The truth is, no matter how fast you are, there wil ALWAYS be someone faster than you, & those of us who accept that can go on & have fun.... :)

I think that is just the way stock class racing is, because batteries and motors are such a big deal. I heard everything from "your motor isn't legal" to "you are building the jumps so only your cars can clear them". So I quit racing stock and started racing gas. Now when I win they know it is practice that is paying off and not a cheater motor, although I did have one guy say my engine had to have been a .15!!!
Some people just need something to whine about. If you race for seven years, practice your ***** off, and still can't beat me, then we'll look at your car and see what we can do to make it better.

IR- I meant a pro on the topic(a fast motor is only one part of it), etc. I wasn't trying to single you or anybody else out on this bb about their driving. Sorry if i did.
Interstate- that is a very good comeback.

Where are the administrators? The nerve of some people using words like "work ethic" on a public message board!! :D
Shameful ain't it?
I blame Kobe Bryant for this mentality.
I don't know why, I just do..
What has happened to it? I recently found out that certain folks at my track think I have been cheating because I beat them so badly in the stock class of on-road. This really p***** me off.
Why do some people think they can buy a hot car like a TC3 or Pro 3 and bolt a motor in it and win? Do they not realize that I have spent countless hours wrenching on my car? Even more hours practicing at the track, trying to find the right lines, working with drivers far better than me learning how to hold lines and pass cleanly? I talk to everyone who had anything to say about my choosen hobby, I glean little bits of information from all of it. I have notes up the wazzu about setups, conditions, etc. These clowns do not practice, do research or experiment with their cars. Yet they feel that they should win. WRONG! In fact, when I tried to offer advice or tips to these guys I was rebuffed. I offered to practice with them and they don't show up. I am sick of these people.
Just wait 'til the fall series. Howard, I need that motor we talked about. They think I was cheating with a bone stock GM3, let's see how they feel about a pro-tuned Fantom. ARRRRRRGH!
There, I'm done.
Thanks
