Ok , I'm hooked on both the manga and the anime put out by TOKYOPOP. I am just wondering if anyone has done up a car from that series. And could you show them, I did a search and came up blank. Thanks, it's been awhile since I been here, this is my 2nd post since returning.

Im a fan of the sil-eighty and the black evo vi.On the initial d subject is there any episodes after the 3rd series/movie/stage.If not damn i watched them all.I think the drift kits should have looked like the initial d cars from the get go(except the one red civic..i hate fwds).Who wouldnt want to be takumi chasing down a an r32 skyline on a norrow road, perfectly drifting through each corner.Ill stop rambling on about inital d now

my favorite anime is GTO. So far i have seen almost all the episodes... but i have only read up to like the 5th book. I would like to make a mody for my savage that has all of my fav. hobbies on it. Like GTO, Halo/Halo 2, and biking on it.

thedarkness, TRF is talking about the Tokyopop (AKA bad americanized dubbing and so called "cool" extra effects) version. Their #8 is the ending of the first stage. Stage 4 has started showing in Japan, they show 2 episodes every month or so, and if I remember right, they're at ep 5-6 right now. They have been fan subbed and are floating around on IRC if you want to watch them.

Just a note to the people watching the Tokyopop version. I've seen the tokyopop version of ID and have to say that the dialogue has been butchered. They make the characters sound all "hip hop-ish" with western lingo. To really appreciate the anime, try to find the fan subs, those are done very well and portray the people properly.
Just for a simple example, when Takumi (Tak) first gets in Iketani (Cole)'s car with Itsuki (Iggy) and they head up Mt. Akina, Takumi's scared, when they get to the top, this is what Itsuki (Iggy) says:
Fan sub: "You don't have the heart of a road racer because you were so scared."
Tokyopop: "After seeing you spaz out like that in Cole's car, it's obvious that you're a total n00b."
I rest my case... but i digress.

jlee, I have done some Initial D style cars in the past but the bodies have been beaten up in races. I did a Trueno and FD for the HPI Micro complete with little decals but i threw out the bodies after massive cracking. AN easy way to make them is to design the decals on paper, and stick them on using XXX Main Picture Glue.

Oh, i'll admit... i hate it when the dialogue is changed... sometimes it makes no sense... im just watching it for humor... but i do appreciate the japanese dialogue... ;)
