I would to know if I could put touring car wheels on my stampede. Don't laugh I want to try indoor racing without buying a new car. Thanks for any help.

You can put on touring car wheels quite easily, but that wont make it a touring car. If you plan on racing with touring cars, you will have to get an actual touring car, since in order to make it 4wd, 190mm, lighter, ect., it will cost you a lot of money. Tc3's can be had for $75. If you just want to change the tires, look at www.downeyhobby.com for some cheap foams. Theres no modification nesessary to put them on, you just have to change the gearing to accomadate for the smaller tires.

I don't want to race touring cars. They have a truck class.

They have a truck class where you need tc tires?

You can use touring car tires with no modifications, but it wont give the greatest grip(they may, but I wouldnt think they would). They do make larger foams for the stampede, but they can be pricey. If you still want to buy the touring foams, make sure you get 30mm ones for the maximum grip.

get more track oriented tires, they do make them for 2.2 inch wheels. Off the top of my head I can remember pro-line makes a tire named "Road-Rage" that would be much better than just bolting on tc tires/rims.

Actually, I have tried the road hawgs on carpet and they gave horrible grip. Also, some track owners dont like people using treaded tires as they sometimes rip up the carpet.
