Just thought that I would tell about my dealings with Ofna. I bought a electric Z 10 from them thinking that I would be a really good car. The car itself isn't bad, but the fact that I have to special order parts for it ***** . I have called Ofna on several occassions to get some tech help for the car, mostly when I was trying to build it. (The worst instructions I have ever seen) The people I talked to were rude and didn't want to be bothered. THe guys at Nitro house, who do the distribution for Ofna, have been great. They help with what ever they can. I see now why the local shops don't carry Ofna stuff. I will never make the mistake of buying another of their products. I will deal with a company that wants to take the time to help a paying customer. If you are looking at buying a new Z10 or OB4, put the extra money into a better car and a batter company like Associated or one of the others. It will be better in the long run. ANd cheaper.

Uh-Oh!

I just ordered an OB-4 Nitro for my first RC car!
And you know what... I did send Ofna an Email asking a couple Tech questions and never got a reply.

Wish me luck I guess!

Call the guys at Nitro House. They are friendly and should help you with any questions. Hope you don't get screwed like I did.

The OB4 is a great car. Im sure you will be very happy with it. OFNA's tech help is lacking though. I dont think they have updated their site since last may?? Oh well. For your tech questions, just post in the NOB4 thread in the vehicles fourm or at rctouring.com . Im sure youll be able to have all your questions answered by your fellow rc racing friends http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif

Soon i plan on putting my site up dedicated to the NOB4. Ill have building tips/how-tos, upgrades and the like.... Ill post the site in the ob4 threads when i get it up! Good luck with your car!

Interceptor- Give the car a chance. If its anything like the ob4, it should be a good car. If you have to special order parts, take note of which parts you break the most and order spares.... Thats what i do!

Oh, I have given the car a chance. It is a good car, but that doesn't make up for the fact that I have to order parts for it when ever it breaks. My TC 3 is a much better car. I wish that I went with one to begin with. Bad support can make even a good car seem like a bad choice.

uh oh! Cracknee just ordered a monster pirate. I was seriously looking at the pirate 10 .21 4x4 and the schumacher .21 before I bought my NMT racer. Ofna's & Schumacher websites were not much help. I'm glad I went with the HPI, thought both of my LHS's don't stock parts.

I must say that dealing with Ofna is a major pain in the neck! I have been waiting for parts forever and their instructions are like a 5 year old wrote them. I thought Thunder Tiger instructions were bad until I saw Ofna's!!!!

I have never had a problem with OFNA, I am REALLY lucky to have one LHS that deals with OFNA exclusively so parts are no problem, but they over charge kits alot, 500 for an MP with engine.

I think I will be very happy with my NOB-4. I bought the Pro kit too so I have to put it together which means you need to hurry and finish your site so I have something to go by! :D
I recieved my paint yesterday and the car should be here monday or tuesday but I wont be here! I have to go out of town for a week or two! :(
I'll be right on it as soon as I get home tho!

If you get that done soon Taco drop me an email with the link! treg29@earthlink.net

Wow! I like the new setup we have here! All Forums need to switch over to this! Good Job to the guys in charge! :)

My lhs has had problems with Ofna, because parts missing out of kits, not being able to get parts for his curtomers and having a hard time with their service so he does not sell anymore of their cars. The only Ofna stuff that he carries is the glow starters and fluel filters. He also does not recomend any of their product.

i broke a gear in my rear diff of my ultra gt lx, first i tried to find a replacement gear, and no luck, i was bumming, one place had the part, like 3 bucks or something cheap, and it was like 5 bucks for shipping, and they didnt know when they would get the part in, etc etc...

since i dont race with this car, i just jkinda tool around with it in the dirt lots. i just filled up the rear diff with superglue, the result is a locked differential in the rear end. i dont notice much of a difference, my startups are faster it seems...

HMMMM interesting. I have a OB4 Pro and found the instructions dead easy. If you are having trouble with the OFNA site go to the Hongnor one as they make the cars for OFNA. I have had no problems getting parts or help with my car... Maybe Im just lucky
