they are alright motors. they are stock motors (27t, single) i would just save up for a 19t motor like the trintiy chemelion2 or reedy quad mag.

The Green Machine was the motor to have in 4 cell pan car racing 3 years ago until the Trinity Monster came along. Actually it has pretty good RPM with a good balance of Torque.

Here is a list of how the Epic/Trinity motors stack up

High Torque Low RPM stock motors, great for Offroad --> P2K, P2K2
Middle of the road motor, good for most applications --> Green Machine 3
High RPM Lower Torque, great for oval and onroad -->Monster. Epic Stock, Epic Binary 4 magnet motor

I forgot to mention to that the higher the rpm the harder it usually is to find the sweet spot for gearing and you run the risk of burning up the motor by over gearing it.

Rc Screws make screw sets. I don't know if they sell them direct to you but I am sure someone has them in stock.

The GM3 would be much better and faster than the kit supplied 17t motor. Unless you have experience in maintaining or repairing motors I would be leary of buying a used motor while the price may seem good unless you have the experience of knowing what to look for you could end up with more problems. Speed a little more and get a new motor, something you are sure will work right. When using other types of motors you will need other pinions gears since the motor power will be significantly different than the kit supplied motor. Other motors will have higher rpm ranges and most times will need a smaller pinion.

For replacement screws depends on where you are looking, most LHS have screws for Associated vehicles use the manual for a reference on part numbers you need, online it's still good to the manual but you can get them from Tower, Stormer Hobbies (both ship to Canada or overseas) or directly from Associated. If parts were missing from kit contact Associated asap, they are usually great about replacing missing or defected parts.
