There is a group of us (around 30)getting together now that the weather is getting warmer and we will be racing in the local parking lots. There have been a lot of you that have been doing this for a long time. Do you have any pointers or suggestions about how to get organized? setting up a course? what you use to make a course? problems to watch out for? etc.
Thanks for any help.

Make sure you have the permission of the parking lot owner!!!!

Otherwise you may get all set up ready to race when someone comes up and tels you to leave.

hey, thats the only kinda of racing that is around her, jimmy from hobby town sets up a pvc track, and we race for hoby town gift certifacts, but theres a $5 entry fee of course.

any ways hey has like a brand new roll of gray ducktape each week, he just takes out the pvc (he has many track designs skeetched out) he lasys it down and taps it together and he has some little hard step concrete things that he lays behind the pvc, it still moves when cars hit it, but not that much

go here to some pics of our track, http://albums.photopoint.com/j/AlbumIndex?u=1199481&a=11936803&f=0

NEVER make a oval track, i wasted a brand new set of rear tires on my n. ruatler running oval, and like 2 people blew theyre motors or engines, and no electrics could finsh
