A week or so ago I sent in my new blue Nitro Hammer, as it had MANY problems out of the box involving the hardware, electronics, water cooling, gas tank, engine, etc, straight from the box. I sent it in a week ago and today I just got a brand new orange(couldnt pick color, Orange is definately a cool color for this hull tho, I like it better than blue) Nitro Hammer from them. Ran it today with my dad's, running great, broke it in with 6 tanks @ about 3 turns out or a little more.

Again, there are problems. It just seems that Aquacraft doesn't have the quality assurance that i'm used to with Traxxas(owned 3 t-maxxes and a soon to be revo).

One of the engine head screws is stripped(How do i get it out?), and the trim tabs were set off balance at the factory which made me go swimming after it flipped because of that. The one way bearing isnt holding well either, but i'll try cleaning it with WD40.

Not nearly enough problems to make me unhappy, the other boat was just a mess. I'm satisfied with this one.

For the decals...I left the entire boat plain, I like the orange. I'm thinking of heading down to the LHS to pick up some different decals to make the boat look different than every other nitro hammer out there.

I ran it for an hour or two today, and it flipped a total of 3 times, making me get wet up to my shoulders trying to get it. Fun boat though, Aquacraft has great support, but they should really up their QA so their boats don't come out of the box a mess every once in a while.

Also, to throw a question into the mix....Is the prop shaft from Offshoreelectrics and an better prop(Has the right one been found yet?) worth it?

The best prop is always worth it-it's the 10 others you tried before you found it that aren't ;)

As for the trim tabs-why don't you reset them to level? The screw can be removed by dremeling (carefully) a slot in the head and using a flathead screwdriver to get it out.

I did reset them, I just didn't notice it when i put it in the water for the first time, they were only a little bit off. They were set as soon as I got it back from the water.

I'll try the screw thing, I'm used to doing that on my nitro cars, just never on the actual engine.
