Very cool. The angled axles are a great idea.

Thanks, they have the ground clearence of an indy (un compressed) while not having the ground clearence of an indy (compressed)

Do the solid axles work considerably better than long travel independant suspension for crawling?

I have been thinking that an E-maxx (or better yet, an electric Revo) could make a pretty good crawler due to its excellent ground clearance and long suspension travel. Your angled axles look to have the best of both worlds though.

Sure it has excellent ground clearence when the suspension isn't compressed. But when the suspension fully compresses, your skid plate is barely 1in off the ground, not good. Solid axles work a lot better than an indy. The angled solid axles work better than both.

Awesome :D
Just one question. Is it even enough like the stock truck to call it a Maxx crawler anymore?
Wish I had the funds to put one together.

It has a maxx tranny, diffs and pivot balls. Everything else is custom, so its more maxx than anything.

It didn't take too much funds to put it together, just a little skill. You'll be suprised what you can make for $0.
