I feel like I'm the only one here who knows what a quad is. Does anybody else ride them? And what kind do you have?

motorcycles are better. My stupid neighbor shoved a garden hase down a banshee's pipe. he is 12 or something. Ive had all sorts of bikes, but never a quad.

I used to have a racing ATV, until I kinda rolled it and broked (like my spelling?, I know its broke, dont worry) my arm. It was pretty messed up. Then my dad fixed it (plastic molded stuff that broke) in like an hour and sold it the next day. Then I got into motorcycles when I was 10 years old, I love motocross.

No quads here.......yet, my buddies nexr door have a few, he has a 98 fourtrax 300, he has a 80 something 200X three wheeler,a 2K1 Yellow 400EX, that thing is a blast to drive, bored 20 over, and his custom machine, a 76 honda odyssey, rhino lined front nose piece, custom roll cage, Taller Hauler paddles, adn the beauty of the whole thing...a 450 twin cylinder 2 stroke engine, raped from a snow mobile, it blew, so it is now balanced, and bored to a 500, the guys at plaze cycle say he is running around 60-70HP, he has other goodies, like turf tamers for dirt, a K&N filter, with a cover, and a DG pipe, this thing will stand on the rear wheels out in the street, this thing is AWESOME, plus, it is all yellow and red, very cool

Our friend has a new Yamaha Raptor. Got it up to around 92 (No Joke!) with just a few carb./sprocket adjustments. I've never ridden cycles, though. But I watch them all the time doin freestyle on t.v. Have any of you guys heard of a quad movie called Huevos Grandes 3? It has some awsome jumps, a quad doing a grind down a rail (called a "quad grind" I think they called it.) And on the movie, two guys ride their quads over a small lake! I'M NOT JOKIN! (I know the guys who did it.) They top out their Banshees in 6th, and right before they hit the water, they lock up their front brakes, and their sand paddles help push them over the water. The water's about 8ft deep for around 50 yards! IT'S AWSOME!! I've watched them do it in real life. Just watch the movie, and you'll see!

I have seen something like that in dirt wheels, and hey, they have tested the kyosho quad riders in their mag, the banshee was the 138HP turbo banshee, i still am pondering how they supercharged a 2stroke, that is what the expansion pipe is for, i have seen huevos2, and Quatro Locos, pretty cool Shtuff

I think they put nitro bottles on their pipes, and when they want a pinch of extra ponies, they push the button and it injects nitro into their engine somehow. I don't know why they would need a nitro bottle on a 138 h.p. Banshee, though. Seems to me that 138 h.p. would be just a LITTLE bit too much. I think it would be hard enough just hanging on!!

Oh, yeah. I forgot to tell you. The guy who rode his quad over the lake in Huevos 3 also had his picture taken going over another lake, and the picture was posted in an issue of Dirt Wheels. Maybe that's the issue you were talking about.
