You're incorrectly assuming that a kit would cost less money. There are additional packaging costs, and the costs of developing step-by-step instructions, that have to be added to the costs of the kit. Yes, they save the expense of assembly, but it's likely there wouldn't be any difference in the final price at all.

ya true, but in my case it would cost less. 15 bux for a servo. i have several extra recievers. and it is only like 5 bux for a reverse lock out. maybe for some of you it would be cheaper to buy an rtr but for some people it would really help

I don't care if it's cheaper or not. I want to put my own together and I DON'T want those POS Traxxas electronics. That's the bottom line. Traxxas, don't force us to buy your electronics if we don't want to.
