Yesterday I saw a Duratrax commercial. They showed the vehicles in action. It was a cool commercial. It came on today too. That was the first time I ever seen a R/C commercial. It was more of like a Commercial for a chain of hobby shops though but they only showed and talked about Duratrax cars.

I saw a commercial for "real" r/c cars a few years ago too. I can't remember what brand or event it was for. Its good to know that we aren't nobody's. Might be few but were here and not going anywhere.
gubbs-So did I, but it was a Kyosho commercial, and they had boats in it. Maybe planes...(does Kyosho even make planes?)

Was the chain HobbTown? Cause I heard on the radio a HobbyTown add. They mentioned Duratrax.

I think Duratrax makes commercials and sells them just like the major auto manufacturers do.
Duratrax makes a professional commercial and then leaves the end part open so that the LHS shops that buy the commercial can have their name added at the end when it airs on TV.
Just like an add for the new Chevy trucks will have "Visit ABC Chevrolet to check out our full line.......etc." at the end of the commercial.
It's a good idea I think. Since the commercials you see are aired by each cities local cable operator or TV stations they can personalize each commercial and sell ad time to different people besides nationally sized companies.
It let's the LHS advertise on TV, but lets them save tons of money not having to produce their own commercials. And Duratrax gets it's name and products out to the public too, by the kid saying "I want the truck that was on TV."
It's a win, win situation.
