I have an old r/c boat, bought about 10 years ago I think. It was a RTR, and really cheaply made. All plastic. But, it has a 550 motor, ESC, and rudder servo. I bought a new battery holder and got it working again. I put it in the water, and started motoring around at WOT and after 4 minutes I could smell it was hot. Then, the moor started struggling, and it almost lost all power. I drove it to shore, and then it stunk really bad. I lifted the cover, and the motor was smoking a bit. Then I noticed, the plastic endbull was burned, and the bushing had melted the plastic and pushed its way out, letting the armature rub around inside the can. LOL, this thing lasted 5 minutes with a good batery and then melted itself to death!
I think I can salvage the radio and esc and use it in something else.
