I just bought a front one way for my Tl01B baja king. I don't feel like cracking the car open again to put it in unless it gives me a major handling improvement. Is it worth it? I will be racing it. Tell me your experiances using one ways with 4wd buggies.

One-way diffs make the car looser when you let off the throttle or under braking. Essentially it becomes a 2WD car with only the rear wheels braking.

Unless you have a very high-grip track, you'll find a one-way just makes your buggy spin out more easily, not handle any better.

atcually it makes your handling worse. IE bigger turning radius. due to the fact that both wheels are spinning at the same speed. If you are familiar with posi on cars etc.

A one-way does not make the wheels spin at the same time, the one way allows the front wheels to free-wheel, and the 2 wheels are not tied together. What you're talking about is a solid axle, that one is like a posi rear end on real cars.

A one-way, when there's enough traction, will give more steering not less. The theory is that a driven tire has less traction than an undriven one.

I used it on my driveway, not at the track. I noticed that it made the car really loose off throttle and braking, however, once fishtailing it was easy to make it hook up again by giving throttle.

Oh well, I'll practice at the track before racing and if it doesn't feel right, I'll put the normal diff in.

I think it might suit my driving style good by taking the inside corners. We'll see.

The one-way is causing the looseness by letting the front freewheel. Only the rears get braking or drag from the motor when you freewheel. A 2WD car handles the same way.

The 4WD system is what lets you hook up so well when you get back on the throttle.

I tried it, I got third out of 7. This buggy really handles. It's no XXX4, but I like it better.

It was squirrely off throttle, but it was normal otherwise (naturally).

The thing I liked about is was how you can do a tailwhip on demand, cutting the corner close and pulling away in front of someone. I ran it once before the one way and had no problems, I just wanted it because it was just another TL01 hop up.

I will throw my pajero front diff in and take it to the track and find out, that diff is also heavy greased, I might have a better chance with it.
