Hinge a shell?

Having just finished my first Nitro car and body shell ( http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/biggrin.gif), I was wondering if anybody had "hinged" their shell, similar to a 'funny car', to make it easier (and faster) to get underneath for restarts or adjustments. Pulling the pins out can sometimes be a pain.

If so, how did you do it?

That is a nice idea. Yes Tamiya has done this in a limited fashion. They made the bed of their Jug hinged in order to make access to the battery easier. At least that is what I remember reading in the review.
