Ok I've been reading R/C car action since '94.. And I've finely have enough money to buy what I want but theres one problem. I have a friend that will sell me his Traxxas Rustler that is 2yrs old and includes; 2 Duratrax Piranha Batt.s, TQ radio, XL-1 ESC, 8 tires glued to rims and two spare rims, and two stock bodies. He is willing to sell within $150 to $180. I have slightly more but I would need to buy a charger. But on the hand I really like the Kyosho Mini-Z's and I'll have some spare money for hop-ups after-word. Now is where I need anyone's opinion to help me decide. Please fell free to email me at Edawg_1@msn.com thank-you to all who has read this

If he wants 180$ or above out of the Traxxas you might as well get a new Rustler thats never been ran. If i was to buy a Rustler thats 2yrs old id only give about 110$ for the stuff you said that comes with it.
The Mini Z's are cool if you like em that small.....lol http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/biggrin.gif They seem to be something i would get for a rainy day to play around the house with. Theres been alot of rainy days i might just go pick one up.
I don't know of many off-road trucks with everything but chargers and batts with em but i do know that Tamiya makes a kit that you can get from tower ready to run (thats without a batt and charger) for about 179.99...im not to sure on that but thats what i think it is. Its the TL-O1 4WD and you can get it with a Ford SVT F-150 Lightning body or a Ford SVT Mustang body. The body is even painted.
If you look at the first page in RCCA issue March 2001 you can see it.
Id get it if i was first starting out........it looks awesome.
Hope i helped in some way.

To be honest, Id buy a new Rustler, if that is the kind of vehicle you want. Traxxas sells them RTR, and overall they are a very good buy; Traxxas makes an excellant product that is perfect for beginners.

I'm pretty sure that i'm just gonna buy his because he'll teach me how to fix it, if it breaks. and plus i'm kindda short on cash and he's a good friend of mine. but does anyone know when Tower Hobbies is going to get the new bodies for the Mini-Z's?? b/c i can afford those and they looks pretty cool..
thanks guys [and gals if any posted]
