Is it safe to charge your batteries the day before the race, and then repeak them just before use? I use 3300's. I plan on racing two classes and it would be much easier if I could have them charged before I got to the track.

Any advice?

Thanks

i do it. it would prolly work best if you use the pack charged the day before for practice. it doesnt hurt 3300's to be used many time throughout the day, they actually seem to get better. just make sure they dont get too hot

if you charge them the night before and then repeak them your run time will be about the same but you won't have much punch.

There is nothing wrong with that at all. I go through 4 packs twice, once for parctice, and then for my race (3 heats and a main). www.**************.com

you will be fine. It is ok, if you race mod, it is ok, if you race stock, and you feel you must do it, then only charge your packs about half way, that way you can atleast put a bit of voltage in...

like everyone said it will work but if you want the punch feeling try to charge them right before you race, the shorter time you have from the time you charge until the time you race the better ... thats my opinion

While the overnight method will work, the voltage, punch sometimes runtime won't be as ideal using that method. If you are concerned about battery being charged and ready for your race or practice, try determining the time it takes pack to charge and add an additional 10-20 minutes.

When I began rc racing and began racing two sometimes three classes (day of 1200 & 1700sce) I found it necessary to have a least 2 chargers. Even today I use 2 chargers even when racing one class. That way I can ensure to have a pack charged, I start the first one - giving enought time to be fully charged when I need it or when racing begins, the next pack is started given enough time for when the 2nd heat will start. Sometimes I may charge two together in the event there are computer glitches, race has to be restarted or there are problems with one of the battery packs that I intend to use. Not everyone can afford or warrants having two chargers but it has come in handy or the years, sometimes having up to 5 chargers have help reduced the time need when cycling battery packs. I've gone through periods where I was unable to do any racing, so to ensure packs were still staying normal and were ready to race they were cycled a week or 2 days before I went racing.

I'll charge practice packs the night before but never race packs. You loose a lot of punch and power from them sitting so long. Even if you repeak them. As far as using them twice in a day, I personally don't like to. If you can have enough packs to runthem only once in a day, do it.
