Truggy conversion how to?

Im lookin into getting a buggy (gs storm) and converting it to a truggy. i know there is a SUT out there but i believe the buggy would be a more competitive platform to start off with instead of getting the RTR SUT. I know when switching from buggy to truggy u gotta get wheel extenders and stuff but the main thing im concerned about is the spur gear, how much lower would i have to gear it down so the extra stuff wouldnt overload the engine?

start out with the stock size on the SUT. If you find you need more speed, put a smaller spur on.
