I heard people went crazy trying to get these this summer, since they stripped...How often do they do this, and are there metal/more durable ones that can replace them? I want one of these boats, but this is the only thing stopping me...Not enough extra gears in supply, and they strip.

So basically, how often do they strip? I want this boat mainly because it looks very agile due to the outdrives and fun to drive, and i like traxxas quality(aka, T-Maxx)...

I have seen one one run just fine.No gear stripping at all. I'll bet it's mostly a effect of user mistakes . like loose motor screws or bad gear adjustment.

Ned it seems to be to much travel in the outdrive binding when fully turned at high speed. A few people have made "stops" for the servo to fix this.

Hmm....People are pointing me towards your modified Aqua Jet, but i'm having second thoughts to this since i don't have the extra money for some battery packs to actually run the boat, I might save the money and buy an Enforcer gas boat around X-mas. These boats do look fun though and am still considering getting one.

So i have people telling me to steer clear of the Villain EX and get the AJ, and some people saying it's just fine. And my own thoughts of needing battery packs...I'll find that money somewhere, but if it wasnt an option, the Aquajet is the better choice? I really like the agility of the villain and the looks of it, but I could get the AJ if i save up a bit more money. What are the servo stops on the Villain made of, and are they easy to make?

Oh yeah, steve, do you still run at edgewater office park in Wakefield? When do you guys go there?

Some where on our forum someone posted a picture of the stops. They just made long rods that stopped the servo from swinging to far.

it doesn't matter what it is, NO 200-400 dollar electric could match an enforcer. If you have the means to get an enforcer, then definitely GET ONE!! You won't regret it (yes, I know this is an electric forum). They are awesome :D

I probably will get an enforcer anyways, but i'm going to figure something out.

With an electric i have lots to buy..Dual pack charger, at least four decent packs..which will add up to another $130+. Is there anything else I should get worth $280? Electric seems not possible with that extra money involved in buying packs and stuff.

On the other hand, I have more than enough things needed for nitro.

you don't really need 4 packs. It's nice to have, but you really only need 2. As for the charger, just get a good single pack one. Also, for the Enforcer, you will need a few extra things as well (grease gun, cable grease, 2-stroke oil, gas pump, etc), but not as much.

Two packs? Thats one ten minute run followed by an hour of charging...It seems i'll need more than that for a fun day wherever I run it.

It depends. Based on the amount of runtime my E-Maxx gets, it might be good for more like 15-20 mins instead of ten. Also, since those are aircooled motors, they need like 10mins of cooldown between runs (in the EX). In the Aquajet, you would be able to run it more continuously, because it is watercooled (at least the OE modded one). Also, because it has more power, it's runtimes would be closer to 10 mins. (correct me if im wrong, steven). There, you might want more packs. Also, definitely get a charger that can have either 120VAC or 12VDC (so you can charge your batts off your car or your house current). That way, you could be charging the batteries while you run your brand new enforcer (aren't I optimistic ;) ).

lol, It'd be more like charging while i run my Nitro Hammer, the damn Traxxas Revo caught my attention, being a Maxx fan and all...I'm trying to keep to my enforcer plan :)

I have a superbrain 959 charger...only charges one pack at a time though.

ah yes, the g*dd**n REVO. Looks sweet. If i didn't live next to people who hate noise, I would get one myself. However, they have complained when I ran my e-maxx, and i'm sure the REVO would be louder than that. Still, even over that masterpiece, i would STILL say to get an Enforcer. They have incredible power, and the sound and rooster tail are amazing (at least for the ones with the tuned pipe).

Complaining over an E-maxx? heh, thats crazy, i would go insane since I use my street to run my T-maxx every day.

Actually I think i will sell my Losi for $280, Micro RS4 for 150ish(HPI modified motor installed and Orion Big Block which isnt installed), buy a Revo, then wait for November to come and buy an Enforcer.

I just don't wanna forget about my little Nitro Hammer once i get the enforcer, lol

Oh-you won't forget. It'll still be beter for portability, and it's probably not quite as loud.
