My car is a Tamiya. What's it like to break a part? I have never experienced this. http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif

When you break a part you feel bad. You want to take your car to the RC hospital. To talk to it and comfort it, you tell it that everything is going to be "ok". I don't know about you guys, but I feel for my car.

I was running my Tamiya Hummer in some damp sand (with paddles) next to about a 25 to 30 foot dropoff above an Oregon beach. Everything was going great until I got too a "little" close to the edge, accidently turned the wheels the wrong way and...well...I just sort of sat there in disbelief as the Hummer quickly disappeared from view. Thought for sure it would be in pieces. To my suprise as I peered over the edge, there was the Hummer in one piece. I think the semi-packed sand obviously broke the fall a lot. Plus the cliff wasn't straight up and down, so I think it wasn't a total freefall. When I got to the bottom, it was sort of twitching like it was having a seizure. Turns out the only permanent damage was a 1" hairline fracture in the body. Pretty lucky. I'm more careful now...really...
